Historic Downtown Amelia Island

Still on the search for the best lobster roll we decided to go to historic downtown Fernandina Beach on Amelia Island.  I found a restaurant there that got rave reviews and we just had to try it.  The downtown area was so pretty!  The shops lead down to a river front.  It was very calming and relaxing.  It was a great day!

Here is a glimpse of downtown.  We went into several of the shops.  I loved the used bookstore.

We tried Timoti's Seafood Shack.  I got the shrimp po boy and Bryan got the lobster rolls (yes I said rolls).  The food was absolutely delicious and we were so excited to learn from the manager that they were in the process of opening one up in Jacksonville.  It will open in January.

Here is a view from the river front.  We enjoyed walking along the docks and seeing the boats.

We will definitely visit again soon.  We saw several different restaurants that we would like to try.  We didn't go into every shop.  Some of them were closed.  After we left downtown we walked on the beach for a little while then headed back home.
