St Simon's Island

This past Tuesday Bryan and I went and visited St Simons Island in Georgia.  It is such a beautiful, serene place.

We first visited the lighthouse.  It's not the tallest we have ever been to but with it being so hot we were thankful there wasn't as many stairs.

The view from the top.

We were trying to take a selfie but this really nice man took this picture of us with my new camera.  We were so thankful and the picture turned out nice.

After touring the lighthouse we walked the pier.

We also walked along the village area.  We stopped at Fuse and had a yummy smoothie.

We also went to the beach and walked.

For dinner we ate at Georgia Sea Grill.  The food was fabulous!  For the appetizer we had deep fried pimento cheese.  Bryan and I both ordered the shrimp and grits for our entrees.  But Bryan got mashed potatoes as a side and I got collard greens.  The sweet tea was so sweet it made you tingle.  Georgia really knows how to cook some food.  And the people there were so nice.

We really had a fun day.  I am so thankful that I have a husband that goes right along with my adventurous nature.  He's such a good sport.
