Vacation 2016- Day Four
On Wednesday we spent the day at Islands of Adventure. This is such fun park!
We started off at Suess Landing and the first ride that we rode was The Cat in the Hat. We also rode One Fish, Two Fish, Three Fish, Blue Fish. It's a kiddy ride but still fun and if you don't maneuver it correctly you will get wet. We also rode a new to us ride called The High in the Sky Trolley Train. Also a kiddy ride but cute.
We had our picture taken with Lorax.
And Grinch & Sam-I-Am.
And the highlight of Suess Landing....Cat in the Hat, Thing 1 and Thing 2
After Suess Landing we watched the Poseidon's Fury show at The Lost Continent. The only disadvantage to this show is you stand the whole time. No real break to get off of your feet.
Next we headed over to Hogsmeade. This was such a pretty part of the Harry Potter sections. There was fake snow on the buildings.
We rode Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey. This ride made you feel like you were flying on broomsticks.
The Harry Potter ride is inside the castle. Another beautiful prop while you waited in line.
We also rode Dragon Challenge which is an older fun roller coaster. We also rode Flight of the Hippogriff which is more of a kid rollercoaster but with us being bigger and hardly fitting in the cars, it kind of made it scarier. We ate lunch at Three Broomsticks which is the matching restaurant that we ate at the day before in Diagon Alley. We ordered the same thing and of course got our Butterbeer!
Next we headed over to Jurassic Park. We toured the Discovery Center and we met a Raptor!
This was the highlight of our day. This raptor seemed so real. She would try to bite you or grab your hat. It was so much fun!
Before heading to the comic section we stopped off and rode Skull Island Reign of Kong. I wasn't as impressed with this ride as I thought. It didn't quite match up to the hype or the wait. Even with our express passes it was still a long wait.
The comic section has all of these bubbles that you can pose under. So we couldn't resist taking a few pictures.
We rode The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man which had changed from the last time. So it was new to us.
We stopped for X-men character pictures.
And we had to have our picture taken with Spider-Man himself!
Next was The Incredible Hulk rollercoaster. This ride has been remodeled and the seating was different. It was so fun that we rode it back to back. Okay we really rode it back to back because our first picture was bad.
We rode Spider-Man again and Storm Force Accelatron before heading back to ride the water rides. It's amazing how the older you get the less you enjoy these rides. I didn't care as a kid but now I despise walking around a park soaking wet.
Dudley Do-Rights Ripsaw Falls
Jurassic Park River Adventure
We headed back over to Hogsmeade and rode Harry Pottery and the Forbidden Journey again. We took the Hogswart Express back over to Universal Studios. This is not anything like we expected. While you are riding this train there is a screen that makes you think you are actually riding through different landscapes and there is a story going on. So neat.
Back over at Universal we rode our daily addiction.....Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit.
Dinner tonight was at Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville.
I ordered the club.
Bryan ordered the coconut shrimp.
For dessert I got the mini red velvet cake. Bryan passed on dessert. His stomach was still a little upset.
The food I would say was average. The live entertainment was good and they happened to be from NC.
After dinner we relaxed at the hotel and called it a night.
