Vacation 2016- Day Six

November 10, 2016  •  Leave a Comment

On Friday we checked out of our hotel and headed to Epcot for the Food & Wine Festival.  We were really looking forward to this.  Nothing more fun that spending your whole day eating foods from around the world.

Some of the countries we didn't try.  We were given a food passport that we could place stamps on when we visited the country and check what food we tried. Our first stop was Islands of the Caribbean but we didn't see anything that we wanted to try so we moved on to Greece.  In Greece we tried the Chicken Gyro.  Yum!

Next was France where we tried the Beouf Bourguignon.  It was one of my favorites! France- Beouf BourguignonFrance- Beouf Bourguignon

Our next stop was Morocco where we tried Kefta pockets.  This was our first time eating Moroccan and it was delicious.  This was one of Bryan's favorites and later he came back for seconds.

Next was Japan where we tried the Garlic Shrimp.

Bryan's next favorite was in the good ole USA where he had the lobster roll.  I didn't try this one since I don't care for lobster.  He said it was one of the best he'd had and I took his word for it. America- Lobster RollAmerica- Lobster Roll

Next we stopped off at Poland and had a Golabki which is a cabbage roll.  I am not kidding you when I tell you it tasted just like the ones that I make.  So yum!

I am a sucker for characters at Disney so when I found out Mulan was going to be out we had to take a break from eating and meet her.

Mexican Donald was out in Mexico so we had pictures with him too! We also tried the Taco de Camaron while we were there.  We also rode Gran Fiesta Tour.

We took a break from eating and rode Test Track and Mission Space.  Then headed back to the food booths.

Our next stop was Canada where tried the wild mushroom filet with truffle butter sauce from Le Cellier.  This meat was so perfect it melted in our mouths.  Also in Canada I tried the cheddar cheese soup with a pretzel roll.  It was good too and had little of a spice to it.

For dessert we stopped off in Belgium and had a waffle with chocolate ganache and whipped cream.  And the last thing we tried was in China.  We tried the chicken pot stickers and Sichuan spicy chicken.  Wow the chicken was WAY too spicy even for me.

The countries and booths that we didn't try were Africa, Australia, Brazil, The Chew, Chocolate Studio, Craft Beers, Desserts and Champagne, Farm Fresh, Germany, Greenhouse Guru, Hawaii, Hops & Barley, Ireland, Islands of the Caribbean, Italy, New Zealand, Patagonia, Scotland, South Korea, and Wine and Dine. We really limited ourselves on money since it was our first time.  I would definitely love to do this again next year.

We had absolutely no plans to go to Magic Kingdom but I knew it was decorated for Christmas and we have never seen the castle with the lights so we took the monorail over.

We saw Wishes.

We also got to the see the new show that projects onto the castle "Once Upon a Time".  It was really good!

Main Street decorated for Christmas.

Before leaving for the night we rode The Haunted Mansion.  We tried to head over to ride Mine Train but out of no where this rain storm came up.  It was raining so hard and we were soaked.  So we called it a night.  We caught the monorail back over to Epcot.

We had such a great vacation.  It is so nice to live in Florida and get to do all of the things that we get to do and only be a few hours from home.  We feel like even in Orlando that we are a million miles away.  Can't wait to see where next years vacation adventures take us!
