July 2018

Wow!  I can't believe that July has come and gone.  Weather wise we are having a really good summer so far.  We have had a storm practically every day and it has helped cool things down a little.  It's so much nicer in central Florida when the sun isn't blaring down on you.

We didn't go out for the 4th of July this year.  Bryan had to work on the 3rd into the 4th.  He didn't get off of work until 0700.  Since he had to sleep all day we just didn't make any plans.  Plus we typically don't go out on Wednesdays since we are right back to work on Thursdays.  Wednesdays are our "relaxing, gearing up for the work week" day.  For dinner I made hotdogs, fries, and baked beans.  Even though there was a delay due to weather we watched Disney's Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky on Facebook live.  It was an amazing show and I am hoping maybe next year we'll make it out to Magic Kingdom to see it.  That tends to be a crazy busy day for Magic Kingdom so we'll see.

great showgreat showScreenshot The second week of July we decided to try a new to us Mexican restaurant for date night.  We have been trying to find a place that is as good as our go to in NC or even our go to in Jacksonville was.  I think we finally found it!  Don Julios was so good.  I got the shrimp street tacos and Bryan got a combo of taco, burrito, and chile relleno.  He said his was delicious and mine was the best shrimp tacos.  After dinner we were suppose to head over to SeaWorld for their night time show but Bryan wanted to detour to the Infiniti dealership to look at a car.  My car to be exact with red interior.  He can't decide if he wants to keep his Z so he wanted to look.  Our quick trip turned into several hours and we missed the show.  And he still hasn't decided what he wants to do so for now he's keeping the Z.  We still have our G37 but have plans to get rid of it by the end of the year.  We just don't drive it or care anything about it anymore.

I did a little shopping this month.  I am trying to figure out a way to wear my NC spring/fall clothes down here.  Even after we moved I continued to purchase these types of clothes even though I don't really wear any of it.  Basically my NC spring/fall clothes were long sleeve light weight tops.  So I have a lot of these style tops with the tags still on them.  After almost four years in Florida my blood is starting to "thin out" as they refer to it.  I am actually cold now in the 60s and 70s.  So what I decided was to buy burmuda shorts to wear in the winter with these tops.  JC Penney had a really good sell on A.N.A. shorts which are my favorite brand of shorts and capris.  So I bought every single color of burmuda shorts that they had.  It ended being eight pair.  Of course while I was shopping I also picked up a few $9-$11 Liz Claiborne tops.  And I might have bought a Minnie Mouse shirt and Bryan might have bought a Star Wars shirt.....LOL.  So now I am kind of looking forward to winter... :o)

On the 17th we headed over to Hollywood Studios to see Toy Story Land.  It was everything that we hoped it would be.  It's a small area which is okay with us.  We had fastpasses to ride Alien Swirling Saucers.  Bryan said at first that it looked cheesy but I think he actually really enjoyed it.  I thought it was really fun!  As we were walking around we really wanted to ride Slinky Dog.  The line was pretty long but we decided to wait anyway.  About the time we got in line the bottom fell out so we ran for an umbrella at Lunchbox.  When the rain cleared up we ran back over to the line and waited about 75 minutes.  The wait went by fast as there was a lot to see in the line.  The ride itself was awesome!  Probably now one of our favorites.

We decided to eat dinner at Sci Fi Dine In Theater.  They had a special seasonal burger with pimento cheese.  We both ordered it and it was so good.

After dinner we decided to head back over to Toy Story and ride Slinky Dog at night.  Since it was so close to park closing we only waited 30 minutes.  It was just as fun at night.

Before we got to Slinky Dog we walked in front of the Chinese Theater during Movie Magic.  I did not realize that you could walk that close during the show.  It was amazing and I got some really good pictures.

On the 23rd and 24th Bryan had part one of his orientation at Florida Hospital.  Both days were good for him.  He's looking forward to starting his new PRN job.  On the 24th we went over to Disney Springs.  We shopped a little, had dinner at Blaze Pizza, then saw Solo at the AMC.  I thought the movie was really good.

On the 31st we went over to Waterford Town Center and ate dinner at Charley's Philly Cheesesteaks.  We had 2235 tickets to Ant-man and the Wasp.  We finished eating early and hung out at the Super Target.  Then headed over to the theater.  The movie was really good.  I think we are now caught up on the movies that we want to see in the theater.  At least until November when Venom comes out.

That's pretty much it for July.  I don't how exciting August will be with Bryan working so much.  But it is my birthday month so we have a few things planned.
